报告人简介:
Dr Raj Das is a facultymember in the Aerospace and Aviation Engineering discipline of RMIT University.He is currently the Program Director of the Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace)program of the School of Engineering. Dr Das brings his more than 10 years ofcollective academic, research and administrative experience at the Universityof Auckland (New Zealand), CSIRO (Australia) and the University of Manchester(UK). He served in various academic and research roles such as the ProgramManager and Postgraduate Course Advisor at the University of Auckland andSenior Research Scientist at CSIRO.
Dr Das is the Chair(elected) of the ‘National Committee on Applied Mechanics’, a national board ofMechanical College of Engineers Australia. He is also an Executive Committeeand Council Member of International Congress on Fracture. He is an adjunctfaculty of the University of Quebec. Dr Das has organised five majorconferences as the Chair/Co-Chair, and served on the scientific committees ofmore than 100 international conferences.
Dr Raj Das has a PhD fromMonash University, and established strong linkages with industry and academia.He has published more than 200 papers in international journals andconferences. Dr Das has been invited as a plenary and keynote lectures inseveral major conferences and serves on the editorial board and review panel ofseveral journals and funding agencies.
Dr Raj Das has beengranted several national and international awards and fellowships asrecognition of his academic and research achievements. These include inaugural‘Jim & Hazel D. Lord Emerging Faculty Fellowship’, ‘Research ExcellenceAward’, and ‘AUEA Emerging Researcher Award’ by the University of Auckland. Hehas received international awards and fellowships, such as the ‘CONICYT award’from Chile, ‘Merit Award’ from Hong Kong, ‘Visiting Fellowships’ from theUniversity of Quebec, Canada, and the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
